It is with joy and pride that I announce Ann Riemenschneider as the next principal of Chute Middle School! Ms. Riemenschneider has been a key part of the Chute community since she began teaching language arts and math at Chute in 1994. Now in her 16th year as Assistant Principal, Ms. Riemenschneider is committed to fostering a culture of collective excellence. I’m grateful for her consistent leadership and am thrilled to see her step into this new role for the Chute community. Her appointment was approved by the School Board at Monday’s meeting and will go into effect on July 1, 2025.
¡Felicitaciones, Sofia! She won the Spanish District-wide spelling bee, becoming champion after correctly spelling “colección” (collection).
The winner of the Justin Wynn Fund’s Buddy Portugal Award is a familiar face in District 65 — congratulations to Chute Principal Jim McHolland! This award is given annually to “an adult in the community who has made an outstanding contribution to Evanston’s youth,” according to the Justin Wynn Fund.
As many of you may be aware, Principal McHolland is retiring at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year. We are deeply grateful for Mr. McHolland and his nearly three decades of dedicated service to the Chute community.
