Congratulations, incoming Principal Riemenschneider!

Dear Chute Families -

It is with joy and pride that I announce Ann Riemenschneider as the next principal of Chute Middle School! Ms. Riemenschneider has been a key part of the Chute community since she began teaching language arts and math at Chute in 1994. Now in her 16th year as Assistant Principal, Ms. Riemenschneider is committed to fostering a culture of collective excellence. I’m grateful for her consistent leadership and am thrilled to see her step into this new role for the Chute community. Her appointment was approved by the School Board at Monday’s meeting and will go into effect on July 1, 2025.

We are grateful for the staff and families who gave their feedback as part of our community survey and for those who served on the interview panel. We heard the desire for a leader who is equity-focused and inclusive, who builds trust and relationships, and who is a visible and reliable leader. Throughout her three decades at Chute and in the extensive interview process, it was clear that Ms. Riemenschneider is dedicated to uplifting students, staff, and families to create an inclusive and responsive learning environment for all.

Assistant Principal Riemenschneider has spent her entire career with District 65 and has been long known for her capacity to be a true team player and a mentor to new school leaders. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Cincinnati Christian University and then a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Phoenix. Her passion for education stems from a belief in the true positive impact that education can have on students’ lives.

One of my core beliefs is that schools are the hub of our organization. When we have visionary leaders at our schools, we can help ensure that our schools are joyful, vibrant centers of learning. While we are, of course, sad to see Principal Jim McHolland retire at the end of this school year, we wish him the best and are more than confident that the Chute community is in good hands with incoming Principal Riemenschneider. We will continue to support her, Assistant Principal Rahi Patel, and the entire Chute staff to ensure a great start to the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you for your partnership!
